Teachers constantly monitor the
progress of each child and detailed records are maintained. Children are
assessed regularly in school using standard and non-standard tests.
Parents’ Evenings and ‘drop-in’ sessions are held during the year so that
teachers and parents have an opportunity to discuss their child’s progress.
Reports are sent home to parents prior to the end of the school year. Parents
are welcome at any time to discuss their child’s progress or any concerns.
We have a well established Home/School Agreement
which ensures that we all work together for the benefit of your child. (see back
page of this booklet)
Weekly newsletters are sent home informing you of activities held during the
week and future events for your diaries. These can be viewed on the website
along with photographs and information about what your children have been doing.
Parents are always welcome in school and there are many opportunities to become
involved with the school. e.g. hearing children read, KS1 and Reception story
time on Wednesdays; attending Golden Book and class Assemblies on Friday
mornings; Class Masses and School Masses held every Wednesday 9.30am until
10.00am (Holy Days 11am) . All family members are welcome. Please speak to one
of the teachers if you are interested in becoming involved.
From time to time vacancies arise for Parent Governors. If you would like to
become involved in the running of the school and are available for occasional
evening meetings then please see the Head teacher for further information.
